Adult Day Support and Vocational Services

 

Programs and activities offered in Koinonia’s Adult Day Support and Vocational Services program promote the organization’s Guiding principles and the Wellness Wheel philosophy:

•    Physical Wellness- Healthy activities that benefit your body such as

      nutritious eating and exercise.


•    Intellectual Wellness- Using resources to expand your knowledge, creativity,

     and become mentally stimulated.


•    Emotional Wellness- Focusing on taking care of yourself and developing

     ways to enhance your inner resources.


•    Spiritual Wellness- Enhancing the connection between the mind and body.


•    Social Wellness- Developing healthy relationships with those around you

     and contributing to your community.

 

Settings/Service Options:

Adult Day Support Program

Koinonia believes that staying active and interacting with others is a major component to maintaining an individual’s self-worth and independence. By taking into account each participant’s interests and needs, a variety of activities are planned on a daily basis.

Vocational Services

Services provided are designed to identify and match an individual’s employment needs:

•    Work assessment
•   Job readiness and vocational training
•   Opportunities for paid work
•   On-going training and support aimed at developing skills necessary to

     obtain and maintain employment

Funding Sources:

•    Day Array
•    Non-medical Transportation
•   Supported Employment
•   Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental

     Disability (CCBMRDD) contracts
•    Private Pay
